Ranch Life Clicks For Local Photographer
I grew up ranching and married my high school sweetheart, cowboy Mike Morgan. Together we have a daughter, Dallas (9). Ranching has always been in our blood.
Mike and I both attended school at North Park. We ranched here, in Livermore and in Nebraska gaining experience to come home to the ranch where we were married. We returned to North Park to share the traditional ranching values and the strong sense of community with Dallas.
We raise our daughter on the Meyring Livestock Ranch, located 23 miles south of Walden. Mike says the cow-calf operation is “a twenty-first century ranch that’s run according to nineteenth century values.”
While I work at Mikes side on the ranch, I'm in the perfect setting to turn my work into art. I am a full time rancher with a passion for photography and love to capture images that are a novelty to the rest of the world.
I enjoy photographing anything “The West” represents. From cowboys and ranching to the wild outdoors and all the scenery in between.
One of my favorite subjects to take pictures
of is our daughter. Dallas is in 4th grade at Walden Elementary. She is a very talented young lady and has a beautiful voice ( just like her mother). She’s been seen singing the National Anthem atop a Longhorn Steer at rodeo and belting her vocals on stage with Country artist, Austin Wahlert, to singing on the court sideline during high school games. Dallas, also known as her highness on the ranch, is the 2016 North Park Never Summer Rodeo Princess.
We are members of the Colorado Cattlemans Association and North Park Stockgrowers and have a true love for the cattle industry and its future. I volunteers on the American Warfighters Outdoors Annual Benefit Ranch Rodeo Committee and enjoy taking pictures at their event, our rodeo and the fair.
