Wildflower Theater
WILDFLOWER THEATER will present our second annual Women's History Month program on Thursday, March 30 at The River Rock Café in Walden, Colorado.
The National Women's History Project has selected the 2017 theme to be "Honoring Trailblazing Women in Labor and Business". We will recognize local women who have been nominated as Trailblazers in North Park. The evening will feature a Women-Owned Business Showcase, music, dramatic readings, poetry, and a special cameo performance by The Front Porch Swingers. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Performance at 7 pm. Tickets are $15.00. Call 970-723-3201 for advance tickets and more information.
WILDFLOWER THEATER is a Readers' Theater group in development, founded by Beverly
Andrus. Beverly is a published poet with more than 45 years experience in theater and entertainment. In the readers' theater format, actors perform as an ensemble with scripts in hand. A flexible, limited rehearsal schedule makes it possible for a busy person to have fun while providing entertainment for the community.
It got started in 2014 when Beverly was practicing her poetry in her backyard, preparing to represent Jackson County at the regional contest for Colorado You Got Talent. She advanced to the state competition as one of the top 30 performers in Colorado. Beverly continues to write poems about life adventures in North Park, and to sing to the cows in the field, just north of her home in Jackson County.
Watch for information about coming events in April, National Poetry Month.
