9 Health Fair North Park Style
The 9 Health Fair is a big deal. A big enough deal in North Park that people come from Wyoming, and even Grand County to attend. It hosted by the Jackson County Lions Club in the North Park High School and a variety of services are available for those in attendance. This Saturday, April 8th from 8:00 AM-12:PM and serviced by the best volunteers in the county.
From blood draw testing to other screenings and health booths, visitors can get a great recap of their personal health and options that often "flag" other issues one is faced with. It is also an opportunity to gain knowledge on other health services in the county. NEW THIS YEAR- the blood draw is a "no fasting" draw so please feel free to eat prior to coming to the event. Colorado Connect, Visiting Nurse Association in Grand County North Park Hospital District, Snowy Range Vision, the North Park Medical Clinic and Mind Springs attend to share service information. The North Park Cattle Women provide snacks and juice following services as well.
The Jackson County Lions is known for their great fundraising events in the community to help service the needs for diabetic, vision and hearing care. This event is FREE for the community to attend, although some screenings may cost a small fee. There are limited vouchers available for some free screenings.
If you have an interest in providing a health service booth, it is not to late to contact the Lions Club for more information. Nutritionists, essential oils, Reiki, yoga, fitness programs and health centers are examples of services not represented at this point that we invite to come forward and participate in this great event to serve the residents of Jackson County.
